1. Who we are

ZAMU Defence is operated by HK Law, a firm of advocates in Kenya.

2. The free explanation is legal information

The free explanation is prepared automatically with artificial intelligence from the charge sheet and your answers, using a body of Kenyan criminal law maintained by HK Law. It is general legal information. It is not legal advice on your particular case, and using it does not make HK Law your advocate.

3. Paid packs are a limited engagement

When you buy a pack you instruct HK Law for that pack only. An advocate reviews, corrects and approves the material before you receive it. The engagement does not include appearing in court or acting for you beyond the pack, unless you separately instruct us. The fee for each pack is shown before you pay and a fee note is issued.

4. No guarantee

Decisions on bail, guilt and sentence are made by the court. Nobody can guarantee a result.

5. Your responsibilities

Give true information and check the charges we read against the paper. Do not use this service to try to influence a witness or complainant, to hide or create evidence, or to avoid court — we will not help with any of these.

6. When we cannot act

Before an advocate reviews a paid pack we check that HK Law has no conflict of interest. If we cannot act, we will tell you and refund the fee in full. We may not be able to tell you why.

7. Urgent situations

If someone is in police custody or has court within two days, call us — do not wait for the app. 0708111222
